Students who have applied to graduate in Winter, Spring, Summer, or Autumn 2024, and intend to participate in 2024 Commencement Events, must register for the Commencement events they plan to attend by May 28, 2024.
Register for Commencement events through Banner:
- Log into Banner.
- Select “Graduation Menu.”
- Select “Graduation Events Sign Up.”
- Follow the prompts and Submit.
Students must have an active 2024 graduation application in order to register for Commencement. To apply to graduate, follow these steps below.
Note that this application is only for those who plan on receiving a bachelor's, master's, or doctoral degree. Those students only seeking certification need not apply.

Log into Banner Information Systems.
- Select the Student Menu.
- Select the Graduation Menu.
- Select Apply to Graduate.
- Select the Most Recent Term of Attendance (Not your graduation term) in the first screen.
- From there, follow the directions on the application.
- The final page thanking you for applying to graduate confirms that your submission was successful. Students must also register for the Commencement events they plan to attend. Register for Commencement events through Banner (select “Graduation Menu” and then “Graduation Events Sign Up”) by May 28, 2024.
