Don't try to pigeonhole senior Briana Clarke. She's an engineering major who was never into Legos, and a physics major who's passionate about the arts. She's energized by running sprints, performing spoken word, and helping other students of color connect to Seattle resources — such as the National Society of Black Engineers and multiracial churches. This year, she helped start an African dance group called "Ekene," which means praise. Briana compares African dance to opera, because it is graceful and powerful at the same time. If you watch her perform, you'll see why she wants to make it her legacy at SPU.
