Getting Your First Falcon Card
To obtain your First Falcon Card, follow the steps below.
Step 1: Download the GET Mobile App
Start by downloading the GET Mobile app from the Google Play or Apple store. The GET app will be instrumental in the use of your Falcon Card during the duration of your time at SPU, including and starting with submitting your Falcon Card Photo.
Step 2: Submit Your Passport-Style Photo
Next you'll submit a passport-style photo of yourself and a picture of your government-issued photo ID. In the GET App, navigate to the Settings tab and select "Update Photo". First you will upload the unedited photograph of yourself that meets the stated requirements (below). Then you will upload a picture of your government-issued photo ID (passport, driver's license, military id, etc.)
Photo requirements
- Current color photo with a solid, flat white background without indentation or pattern, taken indoors with natural light and flash that evenly illuminate your entire face.
- Full-face passport-style head shot directly facing and looking at the camera with open eyes, a natural expression, and no tilting of the head. Smiling is encouraged.
- Clothing must be visible, however, no uniforms or costumes are allowed.
- No hats, sunglasses, headphones, or other accessories that obstruct a complete view of the face, and no one other than you are allowed. Prescription glasses without glare or tint and religious head coverings are allowed only if worn on a daily basis.
- Do not alter or edit your photo in any way before submitting.
Once you have submitted, Falcon Card Services will review the photo and approve or disapprove it based on the requirements. You will receive communication about the approval status of your submission to your SPU e-mail address. Your approved photo will be printed on your Falcon Card.
Step 3: Request Your Card
A Falcon Card Request Form must also be completed online to initiate the process of your card being printed. Fill out out the form prior to receiving your Falcon Card.
Step 4: Obtain Your Card
New Students: If an approved photo is submitted by September 3, your Falcon Card will be available at a designated location (undergraduate Orientation move-in, select graduate orientations, etc.) for pick-up. Otherwise, if not participating in Fall orientation or move-in, or starting at SPU mid-year, you will need to email us at falconcards@spu.edu to begin the process if not done so and come in to our office and receive your card.
New Faculty and Staff: You will need to email us at falconcards@spu.edu to begin the process if not done so and come in to our office and receive your card.
Getting A Replacement Falcon Card
If your Falcon Card is lost, stolen or damaged, you will need a Replacement Falcon Card. To obtain a Replacement Falcon Card, follow the steps below.
Step 1: Request Your Card
A Falcon Card Request Form must also be completed online or in-person, ensuring you select the "Replacement Falcon Card" option. NOTE: Once this form has been submitted, this initiates the process of your card being produced which deactivates the use of any previous card. By submitting this form, you are agreeing the pay the $25 Replacement Card Fee.
