Tuition and Fees

In addition to direct instructional costs, Seattle Pacific Seminary’s tuition covers academic and student support services. Other benefits include use of athletic facilities (e.g. gym, locker room, and fitness rooms), the SPU Library, and the Kingswood House.

All tuition, fees, and other charges stated in this publication are payable in U.S. dollars ($US).

Tuition for 2024-2025

Master of Divinity (MDiv)

  • 108 credits
  • $595 per credit (Theology)
  • Total: $64,260; minimum

Master of Arts (MA)

  • 60 credits
  • $595 per credit (Theology)
  • Total: $35,700; minimum

Dual Degree: MFT-MA 

  • 125 credits, required minimum
  • $595 per credit (Theology); $827 per credit (Marriage and Family Therapy)

Dual Degree: MFT-MDiv

  • 146 credits, required minimum
  • $595 per credit (Theology); $827 per credit (Marriage and Family Therapy) 

Graduate Certificates

  • 11 credits
  • $595 per credit (Theology)
  • Total: $6,545

Additional SPS fees

In addition to the cost of tuition, there are additional fees related to Seattle Pacific Seminary classes payable during your program:

Lab fee, pre-autumn intensives

  • THEO 6001: approximately $350 (varies annually)
  • THEO 6002: approximately $250 (varies annually)
  • THEO 6003: approximately $700 (varies annually)
  • When registering to take intensive courses; non-refundable 

SPS Student Council fee

  • $10, non-refundable
  • Autumn, Winter, and Spring quarters

Technology Fee (per quarter)

  • $130 per quarter (11 or more credits)
  • $12 per credit (10 credits or less)

Murdock Discipleship Fellows

The Murdock Discipleship Fellows program is offered by Seattle Pacific Seminary and the Center for Biblical and Theological Education. The program is funded in part by a Vision and Call grant from the M.J. Murdock Charitable Trust.
