Mathematics

“Mathematics is a way of thinking and a way of living. The beauty of it shows up in the glory of the sunrise, the fun in a board game, the challenge of a puzzle, the awesomeness of skyscrapers, the usefulness of a bridge, the power of an immunization, the vibrant arc of a rainbow, the movement of a game-winning shot, the trends of the stock market, and even the amazing technology of lighting up a dark home without cords or batteries!”

— SPU Assistant Professor of Mathematics John Hossler
