Sarah is passionate about coming alongside students as they engage in issues of global justice within the context of the Christian faith. She graduated from Azusa Pacific University (B.A.) in 2007, and has her M.A. in Ministerial Leadership from Indiana Wesleyan University. In 2012, she moved to Kathmandu, Nepal where she developed and oversaw a volunteer program for college students. That work took her to Gordon College on the north shore of Boston where she served for four years as the Director of Global Missions, leading and mentoring students in local and global ministry. Her passion for international higher education eventually took her to Klaipeda, Lithuania where she worked as the Director of Partnerships and Student Care in the study abroad office at LCC International University. She’s excited to be back home in the PNW, and part of the SPU community.
Among other endeavors, Sarah has visited women in the red-light districts of India, worked with children with special needs in Ukraine, taught theology students in Congo, participated in encouragement ministry to house parents in Bangladesh, and served with homeless outreaches in New York City. She’s an avid Atlanta Falcons fan (please don’t mention the 2017 Super Bowl), coffee lover, runner, and Jeopardy! aficionado.
